5) Image Properties:
a) The Width and Height are automatically added.
b) Add ‘Alternative Text’ if desired
This is the text that shows when you hover over the image.
c) At ‘Border’ type 0 for no border
0 is preferred most often, else type a value -
1 for example gives a thin border, 6 a heavy
border (the border will be black, or If the image is a link, it will be blue). Tip: to set an always grey border: Set
border to 0. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab. Under ‘Stylesheet Classes’ type ‘border’
(without the ‘ marks) in the text field.
d) At HSpace type ‘10’ (for example)
HSpace sets the blank space to the left and
right of the image (we use it when we wrap text around an image. It is the
horizontal space we want between the text and the edge of the image)
e) At VSpace type ‘2’ (for example)
VSpace sets the blank space above and below the image
f) At Align
select an option from the dropdown
Typically this will be either left or right and positions the image on the
page. (note: you cannot center align the image here. Center alignment is done
with the text-align tools on the main editor toolbar)
6) Click ‘OK’
The image is added.
1. To center align the image select the image (or the
line that it is on) and click the center text-align
button
2. To re-adjust
settings, right click the image, select ‘Image properties’
3. To relocate the image up or down, drag the image
and release the mouse on the line where you want to locate it
4. You can Resize the image, click the image and drag
the corners to resize it, however to retain sharpness and clarity it is
preferred that the image is made web-ready at the exact size you want it.*
* Do
not upload large images and resize them in the editor. Resizing with the editor
does not reduce the file-size, resulting in slow loading pages
* Refer to the Editors section on the website ‘Image resize’ for more detailed
information about preparing images for use on the web.
