It's not a google and it's not a wiki. Relatively new as far as search engine types go, Wolfram Alpha comes from the makers of Mathematica, an impressive lineage. Engine data is US centric, but readily building world-wide. A young project being done well, loaded with potential and, as we've watched it expand, core system capabilities grow and equally refine. 

Contributors include professional bodies, govts, universities, the business philanthropists, and the odd generous genious no doubt. Contribute your data set here if you're one of those. If you're not one of those, your Intellectual Property is valuable (and if it's not your IP then it wont be considered for testing). All contributions human vetted. Classy.
